New place, same obsession.
March 1, 2010 at 5:53 PM | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentWell at last I have finished giving the final touches to my new BLOG. You can find it at kennethrodriguezphoto.com/blog. Why did I made the change? Well for starters, the images in the new blog are almost 2 times the size that this blog allowed me to post, and since I love my job, the bigger the better. Also I will try to keep on posting regularly on the One day at a time thread, I love that one, but lately it has been a lot of pain trying to post something daily. Hopefully I’ll keep on doing just that but if I can’t make it then I will change the name of the thread to One week at a time and post images from that past week. Again, I don’t plan to do this but if I have to then I will. But you should totally check it out. The new look is amazing and the images have that “POP!” with the new size. Oh! and one more thing, DON’T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to the new Blog since its in a completely different place than this one.

We got here first!.
February 25, 2010
Two in the morning, and after watching the last episode of Lost that I could (I am still on season 3) I went to bed. But I couldn’t go to bed because these two cats would not let me, they were so comfortable in their positions that when I tried to move them they complained. It was like they where saying “I was here first”. So I went back to my computer and saw a couple more episodes of Lost. That’s the problem when you have something that you love a lot. You let it get away with almost anything.

Because sometimes no color is more colorful.
February 24, 2010
Being a photographer that loves his craft I am always torn between black & white images and full color images. I love the range you can get on those gray scales, but color can bring life to a lifeless image. I am always an advocate of Black & White > Color but sometimes we have to have both. So, even if you don’t like B&W images you have to admit that they make powerful images!

Honing my skills for the work ahead.
February 23, 2010
I recently went out with a couple of photographers to take some pictures and had a blast. Loved the little park in Junction City because there was so much texture and different places were you could put someone and it would look like you traveled a thousand miles to get to that next location. After that I came home and started working on post processing the images (minor retouches) and loved so much this images that I went full out on it. Tried different techniques and this is the one I liked the most (and in B&W it looks awesome) Tell me what you think.

What lies beyond the looking glass.
February 22, 2010
I have been hard at work designing an album for a wedding that I took some time ago. And I know it’s hard, making that special book for someone else with different tastes, but someone has to do it. And here is a sample image from that album. Well, talk to you later, have to keep on making this album perfect!

Being away from the TV makes me more organized.
February 21, 2010
Well, this is true. I have been using my laptop a lot lately and since its a laptop I can watch TV in the living room the same time (and play Xbox360 and PS3). But since I’m multitasking when I am doing that I don’t feel that organized. So today I have been in my office, using my desktop and I feel a lot more organized, even so that now I am going to use these “tabs” in Facebook to organize the photos I upload. Each tab will have a color representing what type of pictures are inside, Pink = Girls, Orange = Special Events, Blue = Boys, Yellow = Babies, Green = Weddings. The colors are not set in stone and maybe I’ll change them but I’m liking what I see. At least it feels more organized when I just go into my Facebook account and see the albums baring the same type of picture in each album cover.

After a hard day’s work a little fuel for the body is necessary
February 20, 2010
Today I went to Junction City for a little photographer’s get together and had a blast. But after a hard (and cold) day’s work there is nothing better than some food for the soul and body. We went to a little Mexican restaurant and had some great food there. Can’t wait for the next Photo Safari.
